Year-End Report: The Feeding Program
January 1, 2006 · CCCG
A year-end letter from December 31st: how the feeding program did this year, a Christmas party for 165 kids, and the year's top sponsors.
Closing Out the Year
Today, December 31st, is our last day of the year — a day for work, reports, receipts, and more. We're happy to finish the year with 115 kids on the feeding program list, with 90% attendance at breakfast, and 200 kids total who benefit from the program even if they don't come for breakfast, receiving help with vitamins, dental care, gifts, school supplies, and more.
We had 165 kids at our Christmas party, and one church from California ("Una Cita con Dios") gave every one of them a wonderful Christmas gift.
A very busy, tiring year — but a perfect one.
The Report
Kids reached over the year: 200. Kids who received breakfast: 115. Construction of the classrooms, computer center, and clinic is moving forward well — today we put up the corrugated zinc roofing.
Next year we hope to do even more. We're praying about opening a second feeding location in the Santa Fe area of our church, so we can reach more kids and give them spiritual follow-up too — maybe renting a home or buying a property to set up for feeding them. We don't have a sponsor for this yet, but we know God will provide.
This Year's Top Sponsors
The three biggest sponsors of the feeding program this year: first place, Freddy Alvarez; second place, Alfonso Alvarez; third place, Gilberto Alvarez.
God Bless Them for This
All of you have made a real difference, and God's blessing will come as a testimony of His power.
