Child In The Village

For $30 a month, you will provide a child with a nutritious breakfast every other weekday morning. Your donation will also help cover healthcare check ups and new shoes for the child. The cost of travel to get to the villages prevents supplying children with daily meals. All the villages are at least three hours away from the city, and most of them are over six hours away. January’s sponsor money goes towards helping fund the next year’s school supplies.

As you may have noticed, three months of the year are missing for the feeding program. From November to January, your $30 goes towards building peer relationships, the child’s relationship with God, and their educational needs. In November, CCCG has their annual Camp for the city kids at the Retreat Center in Monterico. With your support, these kids are able to go and learn more about the love of God and have the opportunity to grow in their faith in Him. December’s sponsorship helps go towards a Christmas Party in which the children receive gifts (last year they received backpacks with snacks and new Shoes). January’s sponsor money goes toward helping fund the next year’s school supplies.

Centro Cristiano Cultural de Guatemala (CCCG) is a charitable Christian organization founded in August 1982 by David Alvarez. It provides spiritual, educational, cultural, and health support to the Guatemalan population. CCCG operates in Guatemala City, Monte Rico, and Rio Dulce, offering educational tutorials and vacation bible camps to 1,700 children, nutritional breakfast meals to 200 children daily, and hosting medical and dental clinics with teams from the USA and Canada. The organization also runs reinsertion programs for children involved in alcohol, drugs, and gangs, and has an expanding church building used for various community activities. Additionally, CCCG is involved in community development projects in 14 villages, including building schools, water projects, and churches.
